Gautier is a London Belgian, perhaps he has a small shop close to Covent gardens where he sells chocolate, cider and strange Belgian trousers – who knows? But my God, what a looker – finally a man who dares to tie himself up in this really creamy, floral, light mauvish tint. Pastel colours do really well with in knitted ties, and Gautier is no exception, the silk shimmer seeps through the meshes like honey from a fallen hive.
